Bushs
proposed budget not sound
Proposal
combines deficits, spending cuts
Bushs
proposed budget is the worst of both worlds, combining
both huge deficits and draconian spending cuts. The hidden
spending and irresponsible tax cuts represent a mockery
of governmental management.
Here are some of the examples of government waste that
Bush wants to implement:
Cuts in veterans medical care
Environmental Protection Agencys budget cut
by seven percent |

Two
parties one in the same
There
is a presidential election coming up and, as usual, there
are no progressive candidates with a chance of winning.
What a joke it is that the white boys going for the Democratic
Party nomination are branded as liberals as if that were
an insult. |

Ballistic
missile defense
a waste
The
Bush administration is seeking a large increase for missile
defense spending. Some people believe that a ballistic
missile defense system is necessary in these dangerous
times; the danger and the projected technological progress
are worth the costs. Despite their arguments, there are
problems in increasing military spending for a missile
defense system. While it is true that many unfriendly
nations possess weapons that can hit the United States,
there is more to worry about than ballistic missiles.

Federal
jury uses ancient law
Interpretation
of archaic law for use in the modern age is nothing new.
The Bibles Ten Commandments, though written thousands
of years ago, still hold their value in modern society.
The Constitutions guarantees are often seen as justification
for current situations that were hardly imaginable more
than 200 years ago. |

Let
choice guide obscenity not law
Is
anyone else tired of hearing about Janet Jacksons
mishap in Sundays Super Bowl?
If you read on you will hear yet another view about it.
Why is this so important for me to talk about?
I feel that this, along with the Madonna incident last
year, shows a rather alarming trait that
Americans have developed. It seems the human body has
become more abhorrent than violent. |
