- English
majors and minors who wish to apply for Sigma Tau
Delta (English Honor Society) may pick up applications
in the English department office in Reed Hall, Room
314. The deadline for applications is at noon Friday.
- ISA
Kinomondo Film Series: Mama Africa is
being co-sponsored with African Heritage Organization.
They will be showing Mama Africa at 6:30
p.m. Wednesday in the Sid Richardson Building, Lecture
Hall 1. This groundbreaking short film initiative
brings together the incredible fresh talents of six
female directors spanning the vast and diverse continent
of Africa.
- Career
Night for the spring semester will be from 4 to 7
p.m. Wednesday in the Student Center Ballroom. This
event is for students to network with local businesses,
search for an internship or look for their first job
out of college. Dress is business casual. Bring resumes.

- The
Public Relations Student Society of America will have
its meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Moudy Building
South, Room 271. Come hear Paige Hendricks, founder
and president of PHPR, Inc. Snacks will be provided

- Did
you wrestle in high school or have any experience
in the sport? Come to one of two interest meetings
on forming a TCU Wrestling Club. The meetings will
be at 5 p.m. Thursday and 4 p.m. Friday in the University
Recreation Center, Room 105. Mortar Board, a senior
National Honor Society that recognizes students for
leadership, scholarship and service, is now accepting
applications. Students can pick up applications at
the information desk in the Student Center or in Student
Center Room 220 and should turn them in by 5 p.m.

- The
honor society for Pre Health Professions, Alpha Epsilon
Delta (Pre-Med), will be having a raffle to raise
funds for its group to attend convention in Washington
D.C. from March 18 to 21. The raffle will be held
from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday
in The Main, and again from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb.
17, 18, and 19. The drawing will be held Feb. 20.
Tickets will be $2 with prizes such as dinners for
two, a nights stay at the Courtyard Marriott;
Stars, Brahmas and TCU baseball tickets with parking;
and a TCU bar stool. More prizes include several Bianni
salon gift certificates for massages, nails and hair.
- Summer
2004 Study Abroad Programs are now enrolling. To enroll,
come by Sadler Hall Room 16, to pick up a permit number
and pay a $500 deposit by Feb. 27. Contact t.williams@tcu.edu

- The
Center for Writing is located on the top floor of
the Rickel Academic Wing of the University Recreation
Center, across from Moncrief Hall. Students who want
to discuss some of their writing can stop by the Center
for Writing or call (817)257-7426.
- May
2004 degree candidates should file their Intent to
Graduate forms promptly in the office of their academic
dean. Each academic deans office has a deadline
for filing and requires time to process the intent.
All names of degree candidates must be submitted to
the Registrar by Monday. Information concerning important
dates and time changes for graduation can be found
on the Web page. Go to Registrar under the Common
Resources, then to Graduation. You will order your
cap, gown and diploma from the Web. You will be denied
access into the site until the Registrars Office
has received your degree plan from your deans
office. If you are denied access, please check with
your deans office to see that they have you
listed as a degree candidate for May 2004. Be sure
your local address is correct. You can correct this
on the Registrars home page. You will be receiving
important information this semester through your TCU
e-mail and at your local address.
