Medical examiner rules students’ death accidental

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled former student Lacey Sexton’s death accidental.

Sexton, 19, was found dead on July 25, in a friend’s apartment at the Reserve at Oak Hill in the 2400 block of Oak Hill Circle. The medical examiner said she died from a mixture of morphine and alcohol.

Lt. Jesse Hernandez, a Fort Worth Police Department spokesman, said the investigation into where Sexton acquired the drugs is still open.

Sexton was a junior psychology major attending TCU on a Deans’ Scholarship and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.
