Frogs beat Rice, play final regular season match Sat.

The 32nd-ranked TCU men’s tennis team took down 30th-ranked Rice Wednesday in Houston. The Frogs won the doubles point, giving them the early lead, then won three of six singles matches. The other three singles matches did not finish. The Owls played singles without 28th-ranked Robert Searle and 37th-ranked William Barker. Barker did participate in doubles. He did not, however play doubles with his brother Richard Barker. The duo is ranked No. 1 in the country. The Frogs move to 12-7 on the season, with their final regular season match coming Saturday at noon against Southern Methodist. The Omni Hotels/ITA rankings released Wednesday showed TCU moving down in the rankings from No. 36 to No. 32. Junior Alex Menichini takes the No. 74 singles slot after not being ranked in the March 26 release.
