TCU needs one win for C-USA tourney bid

After winning a season-high three consecutive conference games, head coach Billy Tubbs said his team got a bit content with their playing.
That complacency, Tubbs said, was the main factor for last Saturday’s home loss against South Florida, 88-74.
Tubbs wants TCU (14-13, 4-9 Conference USA) to come out aggressively and back at “being mad and ready to play” Saturday night against Southern Miss on the road. Tubbs said that attitude will be the determining factor for the Frogs’ future.

Lady Frogs score two road wins
Mittie hopes for huge crowd in final Conference USA games

The TCU women’s basketball team had a good weekend, said head coach Jeff Mittie. The Frogs (20-5 and 10-2 Conference USA) defeated both Memphis (11-14 and 5-7 C-USA) and Saint Louis (11-14 and 4-8 C-USA) on Friday and Sunday respectively.
“We had a good weekend,” said Mittie. “With two wins it makes the weekend very enjoyable.”

Baseball team set for five-game home series

The Horned Frog baseball team continued its up and down season with one win and two losses this past weekend. The team lost Friday to Southwest Texas 5-4, and then to Texas Tech on Saturday 5-1. TCU then bounced back from their three game losing streak to rout Southwest Texas on Sunday, 12-2.

Frogs net three victories at Texas Tech

Three opponents challenged the TCU women’s tennis team in Lubbock over the weekend. All three fell as the Frogs ended their two-match losing streak.
The Frogs defeated Texas Tech, New Mexico, Florida International in the weekend’s Texas Tech Invitational. The three victories improved the Frogs’ record to 6-2.
