Meal-deal offers smaller prices for bigger
stomachs

TCU
Dining Services is offering a new promotion allowing customers the
option of numerous entrees, side items and drink for a special price,
said Legia Abato, TCU Dining Services marketing manager.
Abato
said the promotion Lunch Under $6 and Dinner Under
$8 begins this week and will be available in most of the TCU
dining locations.
Locations
include the Main Skillet, Pasta Station, Main Market and Sunset
Grill
in the Main as well as Deco Deli in Reed Hall, Sub Connection in
Dan Rogers Hall and Pond Street Grill in the Worth Hills area.
She
said each station with the available promotion will have a card
that explains the value-meal system.
The
promotion in the Main during lunch will allow customers to chose
one entrée, two sides and one 20-ounce drink for the price
of $6, she said.
Abato
said each dining location will have a similar value-meal plan such
as a six-inch sub sandwich, chips and a 20-ounce drink in Sub Connection.
She
said a customer will receive a dessert in addition to the one entrée,
two sides and one 20 ounce drink for dinner in the Main.
Cliff
Keith, a freshman pre-major, is in support of the new promotion.
The
Main is already overpriced, so any time I can save a buck, Im
happy, he said.
Jack
Brechtel, a junior e-business and marketing major, said he is concerned
that the value-meal system will not help students who do not eat
complete meals at one sitting.
For
the average person, it is great, he said. But for me,
since I rarely eat complete meals at one time, it would be bad,
he said.
