TCU Daily Skiff - Advertising Policy

Advertising Submission

TCU Daily Skiff production artists are available to create ads. Because this service is provided, all composition, artwork and photography produced by artists becomes property of the TCU Daily Skiff and cannot be reproduced in any other medium or publication without prior written consent.

Electronically transmitted and camera-ready ads are always welcome. All advertising documents should be submitted either as a 600 dpi printed copy to be scanned or as an Adobe Photoshop-compatible “.eps” document on a Macintosh-compatible HD disk, Zip cartridge, or CD.

Submissions may also be made via email attachment or at your URL address on the Internet, provided that the document format is either “.pdf” or “.jpeg.”

Publisher Policy

Publisher may reject copy that does not conform to editorial policies and may label certain ads with the term “advertisement.” Publisher is not bound by ad placement requests.

All new advertising accounts are to be paid in advance. Contract terms are available to customers with established credit at the TCU Student Publications Office.

Publisher is not responsible beyond cost of ad for production or scheduling errors. Such errors will be corrected in print on the same page where the ad carrying the error originally appeared, as soon as possible following the discovery of the error.

All advertisements containing alcohol promotions will carry a disclaimer and the alcohol promotions will carry a disclaimer and the alcohol promotion must be secondary to a non-alcohol promotion.

The TCU Daily Skiff is a student publication sponsored by the journalism department of Texas Christian University. TCU is a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution and is an equal opportunity, Affirmative Action institution.

Payment

New advertisers are required to pay in advance for all advertising. Advertisers who desire monthly billing should request and complete a credit application. Credit will be extended only at the discretion of the business manager. We accept cash, checks and credit cards (MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover.)
