The success of Navy’s option-based offense relies on how well quarterback Craig Candeto can get down the line. Schobel will need to get penetration on every play to disrupt the flow of the option and to cause confusion for Candeto. When Candeto goes to the air, Schobel will need to get pressure on him so he doesn’t have time to find an open receiver.

For the Midshipmen to have any success against the Frogs, Candeto will need to have a big day. He is a great runner, but showed last week in Navy’s rout of VMI that he is not afraid to put the ball in the air. However, he is a much more accomplished runner and if he has to rely on throwing the ball, Navy won’t have much of a chance.
