Former golfer to play in Solheim Cup

TCU women’s golf alum Angela Stanford is set to represent the United States in the Solheim Cup, which takes place Sept. 12-14 in Malmo, Sweden. Stanford, the most decorated golfer in Horned Frog history, played at TCU from 1996 to 2000. During that span, she won a school record nine collegiate tournaments, was named second-team All-American three times and first-team All-American once.

The Solheim Cup will be televised throughout the weekend on the Golf Channel. Friday’s coverage begins at midnight and will run until 10 a.m. Saturday’s play can be seen from 1:00 a.m. until noon, and Sunday’s final round will be shown from 1:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. All times listed are Central.
