Perseverance key to Frogs’ win

Saturday was a scary night for Frog fans.
With 8:23 left to play in the third quarter, the TCU defense allowed consecutive touchdown drives to Alabama-Birmingham. The two scoring drives, which opened the second half, gave the Blazers momentum and a 24-16 lead out of the locker room.

Review of TCU vs UAB

Because of a leg injury Tye Gunn sustained early in the second half, both Gunn and Brandon Hassell saw significant playing time Saturday night. Neither signal caller played their best game against UAB, but they did combine to complete 50 percent of their pass attempts.
Browne receives fourth player of week honor

TCU placekicker Nick Browne has been selected as the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of October 18, the conference office announced Monday.
Buchanan receives player of week honor

Conference USA named TCU women’s soccer player Katie Buchanan its Defensive Player of the Week for her performance this weekend. The honor is the first for the TCU women’s soccer program since joining C-USA in 2001. Buchanan is the first player to receive a conference Player of the Week award since Sherry Dick won the award on September 11, 2000.
