By Anthony Kirchner
Staff Reporter
Brandon
Ortiz, a sophomore news-editorial major, was selected as the fall
semester editor in chief for the TCU Daily Skiff Monday by the Student
Publications Committee which comprises faculty, staff and students.
Ortiz
has been a reporter, sports editor and columnist for the Skiff since
his freshman year.
I
hope to carry on the tradition of excellence the Skiff has on the
TCU campus, Ortiz said.
Bradley
Bennett, a junior management and marketing major, was selected advertising
manager for the Skiff by the committee.
Bennett,
who has been co-advertising manager this semester, said he wants
to gain real-world experience with real clients as he serves as
advertising manager. Bennett said he hopes to one day own an ad
agency.
Jonathan
Sampson, a junior news-editorial and sociology major, was named
by the committee as editor in chief for Image magazine.
Im
looking forward to working with my staff to do something new and
exciting that will grab students attention, Sampson
said. The most important point of any publication is to remember
who the audience is, and our audience is this campus.
Ortiz
will be replacing Melissa DeLoach, a senior news-editorial major,
and Bennett will take over duties he and Brian Schneider, a sophomore
advertising/public relations major, shared this semester. Sampson
will replace James Zwilling, a junior news-editorial major.
