Advertising campaigns class places third

The 15 students in the advertising campaigns class placed third overall this weekend at the National Student Advertising Competition in Austin. The TCU team received first in campaign presentation which judged the most clearly effective and visually outstanding 20-minute long presentation, said senior advertising/public relations major Bryan Perkins, a member of the campaigns class.

Four U.S. soldiers killed, one injured in rocket accident

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — At least four U.S. soldiers were killed Monday and a fifth was injured when rockets they were trying to destroy accidentally blew up. The casualty toll could rise because some soldiers were missing after the noontime explosion, U.S. officials said.
